Jacob and Kathy Southard, the owners of JKS Studios, are committed in seeing children have opportunities to express themselves in fun and interactive ways. They have 3 children of their own who are active within the programs provided at JKS. Jacob works as a crane operator for Burkhalter Rigging; and Kathy is a teacher at Columbus High School. They spend most of their down time working with children rather it be at JKS or with the local soccer programs. Their hopes are to provide a fun, safe learning environment that all ages can enjoy.

Saige Dykes has cheered since she was 5 years of age. She was named All American Cheerleader and team UCA bid. She also cheered in college. Saige took tap and ballet for 11 years. She danced during her high school career and was recognized as All American Dancer. Saige has taken tumble training under Lisa Mims: team USA Olympic Gymnastics. Saige instructs cheer, tumble and dance at JKS Studios.

Hailey Cole has had the following training and accomplishments throughout her dancing career: 13 years of dance Mrs. Susan’s dance studio (tap, jazz, hip-hop, ballet, lyrical, toe, pom, kick); 3 years team captain; 4 years Universal Dance Association American all star; 2 years tumbling Mrs. Susan’s; 3 years Columbus High School cheerleader; 2 years taught dance for kids with character; 2 years taught dance at girls and boys club; 1 year Heritage dance team; 1 year Northeast community college tiger dancer; 1 year Northeast community college pom squad and co-captain; 1 year choreographed play for Columbus High, Pirates of Penances; 1 year choreographed play for Heritage, Foot Loose Dance Teachers United, Kathy Cockersole Scholarship award winner.

Haley Benson (assistant) currently attends Caledonia High School. She has the following dance and cheer experience: 4 years of jazz, ballet, and tap. She also has been on the CMS dance class for 3 years; CHS Dance team 1 years; & CHS Cheer Team 2 years.

Leah Brock is a 2008 graduate of Caledonia School where she was a member of the dance team for four years. During that time she competed with her team at several competitions and helped in mini- camps where they taught children to dance. After graduation, Leah attended Itawamba Community College and danced on their team. She was chosen as one of five featured dancers. This past February, Leah became certified as a Zumba instructor. She currently has two classes in which she demonstrates her love for dance and working with individuals.

Nichole Rabell is the former owner of Step By Step Dance Studio in Avon Park Florida. She has been dancing for 22 years and has taught for 10 years. Her studio was named as the “Best Dance Studio” in the county 5 years in a row. She was named All American Dancer 12 years in a row at Marching Auxillaries Association. In the past, her Competition teams recieved High Score and Overall Superior awards. Nichole’s choreography has also won “Best Choreography” in several state competitions. As a member of DMA, (Dance Masters of America). She attended monthly and Annual conventions and workshops to remain certified and keeps up with the newest training. Nichole has recently moved to Columbus Air Force base with her husband and will be teaching ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, pre-pointe, and stretch classes.
